Elena launched Wunderkind PR in September 2008 with the philosophy that serious experience and personal attention are the key to great publicity results. Wunderkind PR works closely with publishers, authors, PR agencies, and communications companies to carefully tailor book publicity plans to produce the best possible results.
Elena arrived at Tor and Forge Books, Macmillan, after working for The Fulbright Commission in London and writing advertising copy for New York area radio. Elena worked at Macmillan for over a decade and during her last five years at Macmillan, she served as Director of Publicity for the Tor, Forge, Starscape, Tor Teen, Paranormal Romance and Seven Seas Manga imprints. She has worked extensively with many different genres including science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thrillers, horror, women's fiction, westerns, and non-fiction titles.
As Publicity Director, Elena created and directed publicity strategies for some of the bestselling authors in publishing including Dune authors Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson and #1 New York Times bestselling Wheel of Time series author Robert Jordan. She also worked closely with high profile authors such as Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen, fashion icon Elsa Klensch, and meteorologist Bill Evans.
Elena graduated magna cum laude from The Johns Hopkins University and has her Masters degree in Linguistics and Anthropology from New York University.

Tanya Farrell is the former Associate Publisher and Vice President of Publicity for Picador, the literary trade paperback house of Macmillan Publishing. She acted as the personal publicist for bestselling and award winning authors including Augusten Burroughs, Michael Chabon, Michael Cunningham, Anita Diamant, Jeffrey Eugenides, Jonathan Franzen, Tom Friedman, Atul Gawande, Nadine Gordimer, Shirley Hazzard, Naomi Klein, Richard Powers, Richard Price, Marilynne Robinson, Scott Turow, and Tom Wolfe. During her tenure at Picador Tanya worked closely with the hardcover houses of Farrar, Straus & Giroux, Henry Holt and St. Martin’s Press.
Tanya began her career at John Wiley & Sons over thirteen years ago where she worked on non-fiction books in many categories including history, science, biography, parenting, children’s, health, business, personal finance, and career.
Tanya graduated from State University of Albany with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Business. She lived and studied in Colombia, South America and is fluent in Spanish.
